When I lived in Korea, movies and TV programs have a huge impact on what people want to do. If popular TV program show us that entertainers play games, almost all my friends and I often play the games that I have seen on TV when we are at parties. These games become extremely popular because they were on television. Also, I did not like thin eyebrows when I was in Korea. However, most of all American girls prefer having thin eyebrows, so it is something that living in America has made me want to do.
Korean culture is very different than American culture. Therefore, studying American pop culture helps me not only keep my own culture, but expect many situations if that I wouldn't have expected without researching. In addition, I can understand other countries and people, and not be confused. This class makes me think variously, see things differently and become more observant than before.
